Fernando Moreira

Fernando Moreira is a Full Professor at Portucalense University, where he has been a faculty member since 1992. He founded and led the Department of Science and Technology (2018–2022) and created the university’s first engineering degrees. He holds a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Porto, where he also completed his Habilitation in 2018. His research focuses on Mobile Computing, Generative AI in Higher Education, Machine Learning, and Digital Transformation. With over 275 peer-reviewed publications indexed in Scopus, he is a regular contributor to top journals and conferences. He has organized special issues for JCR journals such as Telematics and Informatics, Future Generation Computer Systems, and Expert Systems. He serves on multiple editorial boards and is active as a keynote speaker, conference chair, and scientific committee member. He also supervises doctoral and master’s students and is affiliated with ACM, IEEE, and NSTICC. He received the Atlas Elsevier Award in 2019.
Jianfeng Wang

Prof. Wang received his BSc and MSc degrees from Tongji University, China and his PhD degree from Virginia Tech, USA. Prof. Wang is an internationally renowned expert in the field of micro-macro mechanics of granular materials. Prof. Wang has received a number of prestigious international research awards including 2025 Follow of International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM), Top 0.5% ScholarGPS (#99 in X-ray), 2022-2024 World's Top 2% Scientists, 2024 IAAM Scientist Award, 2023 Excellent Editorial Board Member Award from Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, VEBLEO Fellow, 2011 Geotechnical Research Medal (UK Institution of Civil Engineers), and 2010 Higher Education Institutions Outstanding Research Award - Natural Science Award (the Ministry of Education of China). His research has attracted over 10 million HKD of external grants including the Research Grant Council (RGC) of Hong Kong SAR and National Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Prof. Wang currently serves as an Associate Editor of Géotechnique, and Editorial Board Member of Computers and Geotechnics, Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, and Soils and Foundations. So far Prof. Wang has published over 120 SCI journal papers and has a Google Scholar H-index of 40. Prof. Wang's work is reported by prestigious medias such as XINHUANET, CHINADAILY and Scientific Chinese.
Dariusz Pasieka

Since 2023, I have served as the supervisor of the Basement Student Research Group at the Institute of Physics, Faculty of Science and Natural Sciences at Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, supporting students of Computer Science and Data Engineering. I have mentored students participating in national and international conferences, including the XIV International Conference "Engineer of the 21st Century" (University of Bielsko-Biała, 2024) and the 34th National Conference of Student Research Groups "Human and His Environment" (UJK Kielce, 2025). I was also involved in co-organizing the Kielce IT Days (2025), providing academic guidance during the hackathon. My activities include supervising student visits to the Statistical Office in Kielce, teaching Database Systems in English, coordinating the Erasmus+ program for Computer Science and Data Engineering, and serving on the faculty’s Quality Assurance Team. I also contribute to the educational project Today a Pupil – Tomorrow a Student, co-organized with Świętokrzyska Polytechnic and funded by the European Union. Additionally, I give lectures on artificial intelligence for high school students to promote STEM education.

Dr. Subhranil Das is a distinguished researcher and academician recognized for his significant contributions to the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). His work spans diverse application areas, with particular emphasis on Robotics and Medical Image Processing. Dr. Das’s research explores the integration of AI techniques across multiple domains, including optimization algorithms, deep learning for autonomous vehicles, big data analytics, predictive modelling, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, and computer vision. His interdisciplinary approach highlights the transformative potential of AI in solving real-world challenges. Prior to his current role at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dr. Das served as an Assistant Professor at MIT World Peace University, School of Business. His academic career is further complemented by two years of industrial experience at Bharat Consultants, where he worked as an Electrical System Designer. This blend of academic and industry exposure has enriched his perspective, allowing him to bridge theoretical advancements with practical implementations effectively. Dr. Das continues to contribute to the advancement of AI-driven technologies and remains actively engaged in pioneering research and teaching in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Dr Aviva Dan is head of Early Childhood Studies at Tel Hai Academic College University on the Rise in Israel. Her expertise is in Early Childhood education from birth to 6 years of age. Through her expertise she has contributed significantly to the training and education of Early Childhood educators in the North of Israel . Through her guidance and instruction the college where she works has initiated a unique pedagogical laboratory to investigate new and innovative ways to teach kindergarten teachers in training and to investigate how children learn and understand the world that they live in.
Her research interests span professional development of early childhood teachers, the inclusion of children with special needs into mainstream kindergartens.

Dr. Günet Eroğlu is a neuroscientist, biostatistician, and artificial intelligence researcher specializing in EEG-based machine learning, explainable AI, and personalized neuroadaptive systems. Her academic work focuses on neural biomarker discovery, spectral EEG modeling, and the ethical application of artificial intelligence in brain health and cognitive sciences.
She is the founder of AI-driven neurotechnology platforms that integrate real-time EEG analytics with personalized neurofeedback and cognitive training. These platforms are actively deployed in clinical and educational environments across multiple countries, supporting scalable and data-driven cognitive interventions. Arwa Amaira received the bachelor’s degree from the National School of Electronics and Telecommunications of Sfax (ENET’COM), Sfax University, Tunisia in 2009. She received the Engineering Diploma in Telecommunications and Computer Science from the Higher Institute of Computing and Communication Technologies (ISITCOM), Sousse University, Tunisia in 2012. In 2024 she obtained her doctoral degree from the same institute. Since 2016, she is a member of the Research Laboratory of New Technologies and Telecommunications Systems (NTS’COM), Sfax University. She is presently affiliated with ENETCOM as a contractual faculty member, where she continues her research in collaboration with a dynamic team at the NTES'COM laboratory. Her research interests are mainly in the areas of wireless networks, Artificial Intelligence, vehicular networks, mobility management, and broadly on all topics related to Quality of Service (QoS).

He has published many research papers in international journals and conferences. His research interests include open systems, complex networks, web science, network graphs, and crowdsourcing. Shi Peicheng

Shi Peicheng is a professor at the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Anhui Polytechnic University, Wuhu, China.With 20 years of work expertise in automotive engineering, he has contributed significantly to intelligence automotive. His research interests include new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, autonomous driving, environmental perception, and information fusion. He has presided over more than 10 government-funded research projects, including the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Yangtze River Delta Science and Technology Innovation Community Joint Research Project, the Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission's "Three Creations and One Start" Project, and the Anhui Provincial Department of Science and Technology's Key R&D Program. He has established a research framework for the research and industrialization of intelligent driving domain control systems based on scene reconstruction and cooperative control, and has overcome key technologies for the generalization and industrialization of fully by-wire chassis for unmanned vehicles in specific scenarios.
He has published 70 academic papers in important Chinese and international journals such as IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, ESWA, CJME, IEEE Sensors, Complex & Intelligent Systems, TRB, IET Intelligent Transport System, and Automotive Engineering. He has authored 5 monographs: Autonomous Vehicle BEV Perception Algorithms, Intelligent Vehicle Environmental Perception Technology, Deep Learning-Based Video Lane Detection Technology, 5G+ Smart Transportation, and SLAM Navigation and Localization Technology for Unmanned Vehicles. As the first inventor, he has been granted 66 Chinese invention patents and has achieved 17 provincial-level or above scientific and technological achievements. In the past five years, he has received one First Prize for Science and Technology Innovation from the China Science and Technology Industrialization Promotion Association, one Second Prize of Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Progress. Peter Edelmann

Peter Edelmann is a professor at THM University of Applied Sciences in Germany. He lectures on software architecture and development and has extensive experience in developing the architecture of complex software systems through his collaboration with companies (e.g. Siemens, IBM, Zeiss).
For several years, he has been supervising students who carry out their software projects, bachelor's and master's theses in medium-sized companies.
His research interests focus on applications of component-based systems and process automation.
For example, he developed a Lego-like system (Relation Oriented Construction Kit) for image-controlled technical testing and processing of products. In practice, the system enables rapid adaptation of testing software to an improved product.
As another example, he abstracted and encapsulated complex BPMN processes modelled for the execution of individual nursing tasks in such a way that a Lego-like system of coarse-grained and patient-specific configurable building blocks was created. This approach enables a nurse to specify the process required for patient care as a to-do list on a tablet using drag-and-drop.

Filipe Cabral Pinto manages the "Exploratory Innovation" group at Altice Labs. He is collaborating on the innovation management system and its certification process. He represents Altice Labs at the Horizon Europe 6G-Path project for evolved communications and the ED- X testbed project for trustworthy data spaces. He is a Telecommunication Consultant with 20 years of experience in Mobile Networks and Data Analytics. He is a Visiting Professor at the Polytechnic University of Viseu for Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Data Analysis.
Since 2002, he has participated in numerous national and European research projects, including NETGATE, Everest, B-BONE, C-MOBILE, C-CAST, Voices, IoT.est, CarCoDe, BESOS,
CityAction, Aveiro STEAM City, and NextGen Mobility.
Filipe Cabral Pinto holds a PhD and an MSc in Telecommunications from Queen Mary University of London and has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Coimbra. He is the author of over 70 technical publications and the inventor of two patents.
Monalisha Pattnaik

Prof. Monalisha Pattnaik is a distinguished academician and researcher currently serving as Professor and Head, Department of Statistics, Sambalpur University, Odisha, and as Deputy Director of the Research & Development Cell. She holds a D.Litt. in Supply Chain Management from Sambalpur University, a Ph.D. in Operations Research from Utkal University, and a Certificate Course in Business Analytics with Management Science Models and Methods from IISc Bangalore. With over 19 years of teaching experience, Prof. Pattnaik has taught courses in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, Financial Time Series Analysis, Optimization Techniques, Data Analytics, Econometrics and Multivariate Analysis. His areas of interest include Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Efficient AI for Edge Devices. In more detail, he is committed to pursuing the development of more robust deep learning models to be able to perform real-time inferences in uncontrolled real-world environments.
Currently, he is engaged in building lightweight neural networks for facial emotion recognition (FER) and seeks to bridge this gap between experiments and real-world scenarios. Ricardo Guerrero-Lemus is a Full Professor at the Department of Physics, University of La Laguna (ULL), Spain, from 2016. With expertise in renewable energy systems, insular power grids, and the application of artificial intelligence to energy transition, he has significantly contributed to the design and implementation of innovative decarbonization strategies. He is the founder and CEO of EnergyRIS (www.energyris.com), a ULL spin-off focused on AI-based solutions for regulatory and technical challenges in power systems, and founder of AV Green Europe, dedicated to promoting and managing energy communities across the Canary Islands.
His professional career includes several international appointments as Visiting Professor at the University of Texas at San Antonio, the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore at the National University of Singapore, and Visiting Professional at the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory. He has published more than one hundred scientific articles and four books, and has led more than thirty national and international research projects and industry contracts with major companies and institutions. Since 2006, he is the director of the Master Program in Renewable Energy at ULL.
Professor Guerrero-Lemus is an active member of several expert groups of the International Energy Agency (IEA) and has served on multiple corporate boards in the renewable energy sector. His research interests include renewable integration, smart grids, AI for energy management, insular systems, and regulatory frameworks supporting the global energy transition.

Dion’s research is categorized within the broad area of human information behavior. Specifically, he has extensive experience in the areas of online information sharing and seeking, human-computer interaction, and AI literacy. Dion has led a number of funded projects in the use of LLMs for education, deepfake identification and education, wellbeing in the extended reality environments, game-based techniques for crowdsourcing, and games for mental health interventions.
