de BROCA Alain Francis

Dr. de BROCA Alain Francis is a distinguished Medical Doctor and Neuropediatrician who served at CHU from 1981 to 2022 and led the regional pediatric palliative care service in Picardy from 2010 to 2022. He holds multiple advanced qualifications, including a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Technology of Compiègne (1993), a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Paris XIII (2008), and a Habilitation as a researcher (1991). Dr. de Broca was a member of the CNRS-Lille research team (UMR 8163: "Knowledge, Texts, Language") from 2010 to 2016 and served as Director of the Regional Ethics Center of Hauts-de-France from 2003 to 2022. At the University of Picardy Jules Verne, he founded and led university courses on ethics (2004–2023) and on bereavement and mourning (1993–2024). He also served as a member of the Steering Committee of the French Biomedicine Agency from 2021 to 2023. His multifaceted contributions reflect a lifelong commitment to ethical, clinical, and academic excellence in medicine and healthcare.
Claudia Giachino

Claudia Giachino is Full Professor of Technical Sciences in Laboratory Medicine and
Coordinator of the Translational Research Center for Innovative Medicine at the University
of Turin, Italy. She’s internationally recognised as an expert in stem cell biology and nano
biotechnology. She received the Roche Prize for Research in Immunology in 1996, the
Nanoscience Award in 2015, the first Entrepreneurship prize for Regenerative approaches in
2019, and, together with her interdisciplinary team, several grants for innovative projects in
the cardiovascular field. She holds three patents around nanotechnology and regenerative
medicine. Her translational research is reflected in several national and international
collaborations, awards and honours for her capacity to bring basic research results to society,
generating impact.
Shweta Roy
NSUT
Dr. Shweta Roy is currently a student in the Department of Information Technology at Netaji
Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), Delhi, India. With a strong foundation in artificial
intelligence and programming, she has actively engaged in interdisciplinary research that
intersects technology with real-world applications.
Her recent achievement includes being one of 26 contributors selected to publish in the
prestigious journal Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, with her article titled
[EAAI_111300], which highlights innovative approaches in AI-driven modeling and
predictive systems.
Dr. Roy's research interests include machine learning, deep learning, federated learning, and
biomedical data analysis, with a focus on the application of intelligent systems in
environmental and healthcare domains. She has a growing passion for translating research
into impactful solutions, particularly in areas involving sustainability and human well-being.
Committed to academic excellence and collaboration, she is continuously exploring
opportunities to contribute to the global scientific community through publications,
conferences, and hands-on project.
Zhongquan Qi

Researcher and Organ Transplant Specialist, Malmö University Hospital, Sweden
Research Experience: Over 40 years in the field of organ transplantation and
abdominal surgery, with a focus on post-transplant rejection treatment, immune
tolerance induction, and the development of immunosuppressants. Recent research
involves stem cells, tissue engineering, and animal cloning for xenotransplantation.
Colette Edwards
Sheffield Hallam University
Colette Edwards SROT MSc Advanced HE Fellow, is a senior lecturer in occupational therapy, at Sheffield Hallam University, England. With expertise in neurological rehabilitation, they have contributed to the recovery of individuals living with acquired brain injury, including individuals with MS for over twenty years. Their research interests include neurological, cognitive and vocational rehabilitation. This qualitative primary research study was conducted as a requirement for their doctorate in philosophy study programme, where findings will be shared from their completed thesis. Colette is also a service user living with RRMS who received HSCT treatment in 2016.
